What does d-Citronellol smell like?
The dextro isomer leads with a citronella-green, geranium-like edge before the rosy petal body opens, over a waxy-oily base. Drier and coarser than the laevo form that dominates rose oil, so it suits geranium and functional rose work more than a fine rose heart.
