What does Androstenone smell like?

A mammalian pheromone, 5alpha-androst-16-en-3-one, whose perception is genetically split: some smell a strong stale-urine sweatiness, others a woody or faintly sandalwood-sweet note, and a large fraction are anosmic to it entirely. Used in trace amounts in animalic and pheromone-marketed accords, where its urinous facet reads as raw skin warmth.
