香水制作工具、套装与软件

Perfume is made with a few simple tools, a 0.01 g scale, glass, pipettes and smelling strips, and the arithmetic can be left to a calculator. Each question gets a short answer here and a link to the page that answers it in full.

新手香水制作套装应该包含什么?

A 0.01 g scale, glass, pipettes, smelling strips, perfumer's alcohol, dipropylene glycol for dilutions, gloves, and five to ten named materials covering top, heart and base. Before buying a ready-made kit, check that it works in grams, names every material, states every dilution and can be refilled one bottle at a time. What a beginner kit should contain.

What is a perfume organ?

A perfumer's workstation: a piece of furniture that holds the working palette of materials within reach of the desk. Fragonard explains the name both ways, that it looks like an organ and that it holds notes. A beginner does not need one; a box or shelf arranged by top, heart and base does the job. What a perfume organ is.

What are perfume blotters (smelling strips), and how do you use them?

Strips of absorbent paper for smelling a material or a perfume over time. Dilute the material, usually to 10 percent, write its name, dilution and the time on the strip, dip the tip, and smell it at fixed times from half a minute to the next day. How to evaluate materials on blotters.

How do you make perfume test strips or sample cards?

Cut long, narrow strips from thick, absorbent, uncoated paper with no smell of its own; one maker of strips describes its blotting paper as 200 to 300 g per square metre with a neutral pH. Test a blank strip before trusting the paper, and for customers spray a card once, let the alcohol leave, label it and keep it closed. Making your own strips and cards.

Is there a perfume calculator for dilution and formulas?

Yes: PerfuMate's free calculators run in the browser with no account and do their arithmetic by mass. They cover the IFRA check for Category 4, a formula's real concentration, dilutions, batch scaling, and the concentrate and alcohol for one bottle. Free perfumery calculators.

How do you calculate fragrance oil dilutions?

By weight: the finished dilution must weigh the grams you hold times their current strength, divided by the strength you want, and the difference is solvent. 10 g of neat material taken to 10 percent needs 90 g of solvent and ends as 100 g. The dilution calculator does it for any strength, including stepping down an existing dilution.

Which software is there for formulating perfume?

It depends on what you need, so there is no single best. PerfuMate's comparison sets 13 options side by side, from a spreadsheet, with total control and no safety net, to dedicated apps, with every competitor claim read from its own pages; PerfuMate's free tier includes a described materials catalog and the IFRA check in any browser.

Is there software for formulating with aroma molecules?

Yes: formulation software knows what a spreadsheet cannot, each material's smell, strength, strip life, dilution and limits, so the sums stay true of the liquid. PerfuMate's catalog describes 2,211 materials, aroma molecules and naturals alike. What perfume formulation software does.
